Service Introduction

Store of Happiness, The Mobile Van for Publicity Service on Mental Wellness, provides mental health education in community since July 2019.

Service Content

To provide mental health-related education activities to the community, schools and external organizations through street counters, talks, workshops, groups or mass programs, etc., so as to enhance the public's understanding of the knowledge and importance of mental health, and to enhance the public's skills and methods in dealing with mental health problems. At the same time, it strengthens the acceptance of mentally rehabilitated persons in the community and promotes community integration.

Through collaboration with different stakeholders in the district, we are committed to promoting community mental health to the community, enhancing public understanding of mental health, and promoting the importance of providing early prevention, early identification and early intervention.

Strengthen collaboration with the District Integrated Community Centre for Mental Wellness, and strive to promote community mental health, promote physical and mental health, and enhance motivation for seeking help among the community, so as to enhance the public's acceptance of mentally rehabilitated persons.

Staff are responsible for immediate and simple consultation services, providing preliminary mental health assessments for people with mental health needs in the community, and providing immediate and simple mental health information and introduction to community resources.

Short-term case follow-up, mental health assessment and individualized intervention by professional social workers are used to help alleviate the mental health distress of the case and assess the mental health status of stress, anxiety and depression. Based on the assessment results, we will provide relevant mental health information, short-term case counseling or make referrals for follow-up. Intervention areas include: improving understanding of mental health, techniques and methods for dealing with mental distress, introduction to community resources, etc.

  1. The calendar of the Mobile Van For Publicity Service will be periodically uploaded to the website, and the community members can use the service by themselves.
  2. Organizations / Agencies can arrange services by completing the application form and we will provide point-to-point services.
